Water Meter Information

The city has water meters installed in all buildings throughout town. This is how we measure the amount of water used by each customer, that's how bills are generated for water. Water meters are usually located near your water heater or in the basement where the water comes into the building. From time to time the water department may need to service your water meter, or repair a leaking meter. Please do not try to fix a meter or tamper with it in any way as it may result in a fine.
